Responsible Exploration
in Québec
Goldcana Resources is committed to advancing the La Sarre Project responsibly — respecting the environment, engaging with communities, and minimizing our footprint through road-accessible, low-impact exploration.
Sustainability Principles
Responsible Exploration
We are committed to environmentally responsible exploration practices that minimize our footprint and protect the natural environment of the Abitibi region.
Community Respect
We engage respectfully with local communities, Indigenous groups, and stakeholders — building relationships based on transparency and mutual benefit.
Low-Impact Access
The road-accessible nature of the La Sarre property reduces helicopter usage and logistics intensity, lowering our environmental and operational footprint.
Safety First
We maintain rigorous safety standards for all field activities, working with qualified contractors who share our commitment to safe exploration.
Progressive Reclamation
We plan for progressive reclamation of disturbed areas, ensuring that exploration sites are restored to their natural state as work is completed.
Local Benefit
We prioritize local hiring, local contractors, and local service providers — ensuring that our exploration activity benefits the communities where we work.
Low-Impact Exploration Approach

Road-Accessible = Lower Impact
Unlike remote fly-in projects, the La Sarre property is accessible via Highway 111 and forestry roads. This significantly reduces helicopter usage, fuel consumption, and logistics intensity — lowering both environmental footprint and execution risk.
Environmental Baseline
Environmental baseline studies are conducted as part of the exploration program to understand and protect local ecosystems, water resources, and wildlife habitats.
Progressive Reclamation
Drill sites and access trails are progressively reclaimed as exploration activities are completed, ensuring disturbed areas are restored to their natural state.
Community & Indigenous Relations
Goldcana Resources is committed to open, transparent, and respectful engagement with Indigenous communities, local municipalities, and regional stakeholders in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
We believe that responsible resource development requires meaningful dialogue, early and ongoing engagement, and a genuine commitment to sharing the benefits of exploration with the communities where we work.
Indigenous and stakeholder engagement programs to be detailed as the project advances.
